“They were fine, it was a very prompt service, installed within a week. No problems with the stair-lift itself, so far so good.”

“What impressed me most, was when things did go wrong (out of their control) - they took full responsibility and were very positive in dealing with the problem and even upgraded our bed as compensation. I cannot fault the service they provided to us.”

“All was ok apart from when they delivered the mattress it had a big stain and it was not as firm as what they had said it would be. I was unable to try the mattress as they said my room was too small for them to bring it in the house downstairs so I had to take their word for it that it would be firm enough for my medical needs. The company been very helpful and I am now waiting for a new mattress without a stain on it, but they say there is nothing they can about changing the firmness without me paying extra. I would recommend the company but I would advise people to do their research properly before purchasing such an expensive item.”

“Everything was absolutely fine, except for the fact that once they had installed they did call a few times to push the sale of the extra 4 years warranty cover. This I found a little pushy as I had already said I might take that out towards the end of the years warranty it comes with.”

“I thought they were very proper in the way they handled the finances with my mother, they were clear on the price and they presented my mother with a proper receipt ...the price was very affordable. The whole experience you expect to be unaffordable and far more of a upheaval than what it is. The stair-lift was fitted within a week of getting the survey and they really did do a super job- it has made a big difference to my mothers confidence as she was sometimes a prisoner upstairs in her own bedroom as she was too afraid to use the stairs. I would certainly recommend for anyone to use Acorn above any other company.”

“The stair- lift didn`t work after installation due to a faulty part- but the engineer came out the next day and replaced it. One thing I find trying is keeping your finger on the button to go up or come down and its slightly a more rougher ride than I would have liked, but that might be due to our staircase not being straight. I would suggest to other people to try the company as the product has made a big difference to my life.”
