Stairlift Comparison reviews from UK buyers

“The fitter called about 1 hour b4 he arrived and it took 4 hrs to fit when he left every thing was clean and tidy”

“Wonderful Job & the engineer Paul did a first class job and showed us in detail how to use the chair correctly.”

“belived i was paying and had ordered a new lift invoice when i looked to pay had not indication lift was 2nd hand, paid 50% and when went to pay total only then was the invoiced marked with Nearly NEW. THE UNIT INSTALLED was not nearly new it smelt of tobaco and was mark yellow with wear. bits hanging off, felt a fool i had been fooled by this company , i will be reporting to Trading Standards for mispractise..”

“My one criticism would be that having contacted four providers, all of them contacted me but one in particular became irritating. Despite having told the company that I hadordered from a competitor and paid my deposit I was contacted four more times, three by phone and one by letter to try to change my mind. Other than that the comparison service is worthwhile.”

“Both the initial surveyor and, particularly, the installing engineer were very thorough in asking about the requirements of the intended user. The completed installation was very well demonstrated and the user manual explained. The back office service leaves a little to be desired as at time of ordering we were told that the engineer would telephone to advise us of the commencement time. He was not given our phone number. Within a couple of hours of completion we were being hounded for paym”

“Daroll my has done a excellent job”

“Cannot fault Acorn from start to finish! I am extremely pleased with my stairlift. Wish I had bought one sooner. It has made such a difference to my life, after struggling to climb the stairs. I would heartily recommend buying a stairlift from Acorn.”

“Superb service from salesman through to completion of stairlift, 5 star company.”

“made a good job clean worker and very helpful. only thing wrong the salesman said that we did not need to remove radiator when it should have been move so makes it a little awkward for me to get on at the bottom of the stairs, but other wise great”

“Very pleased with lift and installation. Small problem after a couple of days but was rectified promptly by Acorn.v”

“EXELLENT product”

“The installer did not have the required seat raiser with him which necessitated a second visit. The second visit was successful.”

“1. Sold 2nd hand stair lift as it was all they could get hold of for quick installation for early Monday fitting. Price quoted didn't include lnfill box so had to negotiate after salesman said it did include it. No one turned up on fitting day, I had to ring to be told it would come 2 days later, so I probably could have had a new stairlift. The fitter was very good but they sent him with the wrong length of rail to attach it to so it needs to be taken off and refitted with longer rail. The safe”

“I was told that my od stairlift would be taken away but it wasn't. Also I don't like the step on my new stairlift.”

“Very pleased with the whole experience. Fitter was very good, fast and very clean when he left. He explained everything to me and was there guiding me on my first go at it, so easy.! So I pleased I’ve got it. The salesman who came round was very thorough and answered all my questions.”

“Not as neat as I imagined it would be. The surveyor told us things, that were not correct when it came to fitting and delivery. Mismeasured the stairs and gave a fitting date that could not be met. Was also told that we did not have to pay in full until we were happy with the stairlift, then had to pay in full after being fitted. I also had to chase up the invoice.”

“9/10 when job is conpleted 10”

“The couple of problems, including a snapped wire, were dealt with very quickly.”

“First class service”

“Very professional and knowledgeable nothing was any trouble all in all Simon was Excellent”

“The survey plan had an impractical part, but the installation team went with my suggested change and the job was made easier.”

“Surveyor Mike Carroll was excellent in advising rather than selling me the best solution to suit needs and budget”

“Very neat stair lift,& great service”

“The guy who fitted the stair lift was brilliant a great guy hard worker and everything left neat and tidy I think his name was Ellary. You are a great company a pleasure to deal with. Thank you all so much .”
