Stairlift Comparison reviews from UK buyers

“They were on time, very quick and left everything excellently clean. I also found them very courteous and very understanding. My father has dementia and they were excellent with him. Very patient. I`d give them top marks as a company and certainly would recommend them.”

“Professional and very happy with the final result. I would recommend not going to for first quote however as they also seem to be able to bring it down.”

“I have had an intermittent fault with the stair lift since installing. So therefore I don`t feel the quality is very good. If I was more fragile I feel this fault could be dangerous to me. Both the staff representing the company were fine.”

“It is brilliant and I am very happy with it but I am not happy with the sales guy who came in the first place. He told me point blank that my stair case was too narrow for a chair lift and the only one I could have was a platform one. As these are not common with companies I felt pressured to purchase from him as he said this was my only option. When the guy came to install, it was a chair lift they were installing not a platform as discussed. I feel I was mis-sold and misinformed so that I would purchase from Acorn. For that reason, I would not recommend the company.”

“Absolutely fine, everything was perfect no problems at all.”

“Very professional, we need to get them back as there`s a small fault with the lift. They were first class other than that.”

“Everything was fine, my only problem is my dog doesn`t like it and now won`t go up the stairs!”

“Yes I would recommend certainly as I had no problems whatsoever.”

“When the fitter came in he was very polite, very clean very helpful. The sales guy was great too. Very happy with the experience.”

“It was pretty good quality, but it surprised me that they mounted it over the carpet. The installer told us exactly what he was doing and then just got on with it... it took about 3 hours. The chair is the only thing that has value as the track is made to measure so I would advise people to get several quotes to make sure they are getting the right deal. I am happy with the stair lift and it really does do what it says on the tin!”

“Full marks for the workmanship, No problems at all with the sales guy or the installation.”

“It is very useful and ideal for the purpose it is meant for. They started a day early and they completed it in half a day. The rep was excellent and we know exactly what we paid for.”

“Very good quality. No problems at all, I am very happy with the experience.”

“Stair lift was for my Aunt who has found it very beneficial. I wasn`t there when the stair lift was installed but other family members had no complaints and all went smoothly.”

“Although Acorn were ok and they fitted stair lift on time they cut stair carpet which they had to pay to be replaced. We found the stairlift very clunky and bumpy and not very comfortable.”

“The company installed 19 hours from when they surveyed so very quickly - The fitter was brilliant and the sales guy was not pushy at all. There`s only been 1 little hiccup I had in that they give you a letter saying they can give you an extended warranty for 5 years and if we take this out within the week there would be a £70 voucher sent to us. Well I sent the cheque for the warranty and 2/3 months on I am still waiting for my voucher. Whenever I call, all the customer service team say is that they will send an email. Its just not good enough. Other than that I have been very happy with Acorns value for money and service they have provided.”

“Acorn were very efficient with no problems and they did everything on time. I have found the stair lift very useful and it has made a big difference.”

“Everything was fine, they were very quick and prompt and provided a professional service. No complaints.”

“Acorn were very professional and we had no trouble with them at all. Unfortunately we haven`t been able to use the stairlift very much as my husband had to go to hospital but it will benefit him when he returns.”

“The stair lift has made a huge difference to me and has opened up the whole house. Acorn were very helpful and it was an easy process.”

“They came and installed the next day after the survey, I would say they were very helpful and they did it very quickly. There is a bit of a squeak lately so I was going to ring them if it continues after me dusting it, but apart from that it all works perfectly.”

“We are very happy with the stair lift and we got what we wanted. Even though it is early days we have had no problems at all so we are very happy and would recommend them.”

“I have absolutely no problems with the stairlift or the service they provided.”

“Very professional company. We had a problem with a missing handrail and they came out the next day to fit it even though it was a Sunday. It was a very quick process and from the quote to installation was on only 2-3 days.”
