“Extremely happy up until Saturday when my stair lift broke i contacted companion and was advised ad it was one of there newer stair lift they only have one engineer who can fix it and hes not it until Monday. It sMonday today and im still waiting to hear from anyone and 2 days is to long to be with out my stair lift any way god knows how long it will be until it gets fixed.”

“The quote was over and above as it had an extra but they noticed it was wrong and reset the invoice. They were a bit late because they didn`t have all the parts, but once they were in they did it quickly. They did a good clean job, they sent for a gas engineer to sort re-venting the gas fire. I am happy with the service I received.”

“They did leave something out because when the chap came they said they would put grab rails but they never did. The company promised to install within 5 days, but it wasn`t installed until 7 days after. I think we were told it would take 2.5 hours but it took 5 hours. The day they installed it, I wasn`t very well so I didn`t try it before they left, but then I tried it a day later and realised I couldn`t turn my legs at the top. My leg hits the bannister, die to my condition. The sales guy knew I had this challenge and didn`t suggest The stair lift would present this problem. Its a typical sales person saying one thing and in reality what you get is different. Because we had the straight stair lift, I thought the stair lift would go to the landing area so I could step off, this isn`t the case. I need to see now if I can get the stair lift extended in some way.”

“The Stair lift is just a little awkward to operate when you get off after the bend at the top of stairs but other than that we found it very very good. The gentleman who came round to do the survey was very satisfactory and we would recommend Acorn to other customers.”

“We found Acorn to be a very thoughtful company. The installers were very polite and friendly but not over familiar. Although we are very happy with the quality of the Stair lift it is a little noisy and may need fine tuning. “I have had an intermittent fault with the stair lift since installing. So therefore I don`t feel the quality is very good. If I was more fragile I feel this fault could be dangerous to me. Both the staff representing the company were fine.”

“It is brilliant and I am very happy with it but I am not happy with the sales guy who came in the first place. He told me point blank that my stair case was too narrow for a chair lift and the only one I could have was a platform one. As these are not common with companies I felt pressured to purchase from him as he said this was my only option. When the guy came to install, it was a chair lift they were installing not a platform as discussed. I feel I was mis-sold and misinformed so that I would purchase from Acorn. For that reason, I would not recommend the company.”
