The agent who saw us at home to tell us what lifts were available was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answered any questions which we had. The technician/engineer who fitted the stairlift was very pleasant. He cleaned up after himself, although there was hardly any mess. The installation didn’t take very long and he showed us how to operate the stairlift . We were very happy with it all.

Fantastic service finally got mum to have a stairlift called on Wednesday a fantastic salesman came out the same day he explained everything with no pressure at all I did cheeky can we have it a bit cheaper the answer was the price is what we offer which I must admit was a good price anyway it was fitted Thursday the next day she has had it now for 3 months and is over the moon with it from start to finish in less than 24 hours what a fantastic service well done acorn I would definitely recom

Initial installation was a mess, but the engineer sent out sorted out the (several) problems. Had to invoke the cancellation clause to get a fully functional product. I have a strong distaste for being bullshitted, and that's what happened with the first engineer- totally unsuitable set up for the user. Now totally satisfied with the product.

Batteries failed within 8 months of buying reconditioned stairlift. Several visits by mech. to ajust noisy joints on rail.

Need to turn off the flashing light to the codes. Annoying to bright and can cause headaches to some people

First class service my parents had one many years ago nothing changed very helpful though out fitted with in a few days and which was very nice no pressure at all from the sales people

Minor issues on installation but overall a good service. Straight stairlift has to stop part of the way up and down to reset after passing charging point which is a minor inconvenience.

Most people need stair lifts out of Necessity , But my findings and thoughts won't be found anywhere ! There seems to be a Cartel as many companies costs are so so similar. In my case they priced themselves out of the market, and I found a solution elsewhere. Nice people, but won't stop calling, e-mailing etc

We bad to call cudtomer services within minutes of installation as he didn’t completely install the unit . Bits were left unplugged and literally install and off ! . My parents had no idea how to work the stair lift infact we needed two subsequent visits for the stairlift to be fully operational, my mum was crying after paying out so much money and finding it wasn’t working !!! Very bad service in this area when the majority of installations will be with the elderly .

Acorn stairlifts were very quick to respond, from initial query to install was only four days! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Reasonably priced too. The stairlift has made a huge difference allowing me to have my independence and be able have the use of my whole home again.

Would love to have given an opinion on other stairlift providers, however, still waiting for companies to contact me. Acorn responded immediately and thus were awarded the contract. Very happy with Acorn installation and service, can recommend them to anyone, other companies need to up their game to secure new business.

the only problem we had was that if you are bad on your legs or knees,and cannot bend them back far enough, you can struggle to get your feed on the step, of which is i think far to small,you cannot stand on it to get to get your self on to the seat, they look at that problem, and have some differant size steps that could be changed quickly.

Superb service .speedy delivery .good aftercare from online staff helpful with the few niggles til got used to everything. I believe it was worth buying the lift with several extras as our stair is very steep with a right angled turn.Garry fitted it with no fuss or problems and left everything clean and tidy.

Friday 11Jul25…. I am currently sat in the bedroom with my wife who has Motor Neurone Disease waiting for an engineer to come and fix the £5995, 4 week old Acorn Stairlift. I have had to cancel an important appointment dealing with her care this afternoon. Engineer should arrive sometime this afternoon. A very stressful morning and hoping it can be fixed or she will be isolated to the bedroom. So I’m afraid my answers to your survey are not very positive. Peter Waldron

Would be helpful if 1: foot rest was longer as I am taller and can’t get by knees to bend backwards enough. 2: it didn’t beep so much as it is noisy (and creeks the cat). Can’t turn volume off or down.

Everyone was so helpful without any pressure. Explained everything very clearly and the service was quick and easy to deal with. From decision to installation it took only 3 days. The installation was speedy and the guy cleaned up after,although there was very little mess. I would recommend paying extra for the automatic foot & chair swivel. We hesitated,but I'm very glad we added it,as my husband has deteriorated since & it's invaluable.

It was just an inquiry into the cost to see if this would be a possible solution when my husband came out of hospital regrettably after 6 weeks in hospital he died and despite me explaining the situation they kept phoning wanting to visit & quote. After being told he had died I got another sales call & they said they would remove the inquiry - I hope they have.
