Stairlift cost a lot more than we expected but we got £500 off for letting them decide date of installation which was still very quick, less than a week. The rail takes up a lot of space. If we have visitors we have to set the chair with seat, foot rest & arms folded up to allow them to use the stairs. Otherwise the lift is working well & we are satisfied with the lift.

Whole thing completed in 11 days from booking a survey (had a same day survey) ordering a new lift & installation.......installation was completed in 4 hours by one man who tidied

Not a smooth ride. Bumps over uneveven joints in the track.. Not fixed despite 3 attempts to do so.. Not a safety issue but definitely a Customer satisfaction one. For the cost it should travel smoothly .
The service from Acorn was generally good, I had to contact them twice to arrange fitting which made me a little nervous, but the fitter was excellent.

They want to send a surveyor round . Which means they want to send a salesman . The price he quotes is not the price they can really supply it for . Take what he says as a pince of salts. They can drop the price they quote quite a lot just stand your ground with them . Good luck

The company acorn where good to wok with everything went to plan until my sister passed away two weeks after installation,on contact with the company as to what they could do to support given that the stairlift cost £6140..00 p paid for ,on completion to my disgust Acorn offered to remove the stairlift at a cost of £200 to myself with no reimbursement to me . Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Didn’t know what to expect. I’ve rented stairlift to ensure deliverable, shouldn’t have worried. Great service from planning through to installation. Nice folks no pressure sales, system has worked well to date. Have a good look.

Incredibly quick and simple process. starting with a site visit, with no pressure from a pleasant and knowledgeable chap. This occurred within a couple of days of my initial enquiry. We had already done research on cost etc, and when told it could be fitted within a week, at a cost that was competing with others that had a lead time of several weeks, it became a no brain decision to make. very happy with the whole process, and the stairlift is making life easier for Dad.
The visit from the Acirn rep was very informative and helpful. The lift was fitted within a week of his visit. Lift was fitted efficiently and professionally. The fitter explained and demonstrated how the lift operated and made sure that I could operate the lift before leaving.
Salesman was a bit pushy.
Survey and installation were carried out thoroughly and professionally. Installer Gavin, was excellent. He knew his stuff. I was not impressed by approach about service agreement for around £1500 quite soon after spending £5500. A little too soon. But, happy with operation of stairlift so far.

The company was excellent explaining how the stairlift works, gave details of the rails that the chair sits on and where it is all made. They explain the price for different type of chair you want. They were very honest when i asked them a question with their answer, i would recommend this company if you are thinking of getting a chairlift.

i had the stair lift installed some 10 years ago when my wife was alive and it was very help full for her but the last years of her life she was unable to us it but i have to use it now as i have angina and breathing problems they are very god for people with disability problems

The guy who came to measure and the guy who fitted were both amazing , friendly and efficient. The stairlift makes mums stays with me so much easier. Being able to rent makes it all so much more affordable
The stairlift has only been installed for 2 weeks, hence the quality is still being assessed, and I am waiting for a return call from Customer Service

Product is great . Fast fitting if required . BUT the price you pay depends on the deal you get from your sales man’s who attends your home . Web site says a cheaper price . Lots of excuses why this is . But when a friend had the same lift installed but with a small extra compared to what we had , she paid £1.000 more .and they couldn’t justify it when I contacted them . When they sell the extended warranty after Installation , that also depends on who you speak to as to how much they want .

Acorn were a very professional supplier and due to the unfortunate death of my wife within a few weeks of installation, the stairlift was removed and full refund given in keeping with there contractual terms. The installation and removal were both done with the minimum of fuss and the workers left the house tidy with no mess.
He arrived exactly on time, was courteous and explained everything very clearly.
I had not budgeted for this model as the straight model would have fouled a house extension entrance but dire need for my Wife's condition made me find the extra to install a two corner 180 model.This takes up more room but the one best feature is it is very safe to use i.e. both ends are on flat floors and no chance of accidents near stairs .The weight limit is 18.9 stone but tested for 25 stone as I understood it .I can use it but my large legs tend to jam against the wall in one area unless I

Not as good as my old stair lift I had for 25 years
The agent who saw us at home to tell us what lifts were available was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answered any questions which we had. The technician/engineer who fitted the stairlift was very pleasant. He cleaned up after himself, although there was hardly any mess. The installation didn’t take very long and he showed us how to operate the stairlift . We were very happy with it all.

Fantastic service finally got mum to have a stairlift called on Wednesday a fantastic salesman came out the same day he explained everything with no pressure at all I did cheeky can we have it a bit cheaper the answer was the price is what we offer which I must admit was a good price anyway it was fitted Thursday the next day she has had it now for 3 months and is over the moon with it from start to finish in less than 24 hours what a fantastic service well done acorn I would definitely recom
