Obtaining a stairlift brochure or many brochures is usually the first step in purchasing a stairlift. Research is important when spending money on improving your independence within your own home. There is a large selection of stairlift suppliers from who to choose, obtaining a brochure on each will help you draw a shortlist of companies which you are happy to allow to undertake a survey to provide an accurate quote.
Many companies will also provide a DVD with the brochure which is an excellent way to introduce their products. When reading the information look for points such as:
Company Information – how long has the company been trading for? Do they have their own team of engineers? What product range do they offer?
Warranty- length of and what is covered.
Service back up – what level of service do they offer – 7 days per week for example.
Dimensions – the brochure may also include information on the dimensions of their product range.
Features – information on the product features should be included, i.e. remote control, swivel seat etc.
Upholstery – the literature should also contain examples of the colours available. Remember there may be a difference between the printed colour and the actual colour. Ask to see a sample.
